The Polish Nationals finals took place on 02-03 September in Nowy Targ, at a large and demanding off-road track build at the end of the 2005 season. Only the best 30 qualified for the finals, with points earned in the 6 rounds of runs during the whole season. The growing number of racers brought this years' competition to the very high level.

At the very beginning there was a strong pace set by Artur Groszkowski (XRAY) (who has been racing since he was 12 years old) and Wojtek Brudnik (OFNA), but soon the others closed in, among them junior racers Filip Zaremba and Michal Zielinski (both runnin XRAY).

After the 3rd preliminary round they were joined by Arek Gajzler (xray) from Pabianice, who experienced really bad luck at the beginning of the season. Arak was always a very fast driver, making best lap times and leading many races, but most of the time after some minutes problems arose with engines, plugs and so on prevented him from taking podium places. After winning the 3rd run in Rzeszow and finishing 2nd in the 4th round just behind Wojtek Brudnik, Arek become one of the main candidates to win the title.

The 5th round final was really exciting — Artur Groszkowski won it by 0.77sec ahead of Arek Gajzler. The 30 minute race was a real battle, as Arek was leading the race from the 12th minute and got overtaken only in the last corner of the race. Third place was taken by Filip (XB8TQ), 5th and 6th by Slawek Siwecki and Michal Zielinski (both XB8R), respectively.

The 6th (last) round was to set the qualifying positions for the final, but this time the XB8R drivers took 1st (junior Michal Zielinski) and 2nd (Slawek Siwecki) places. Arek was 3rd, which gave an all-XRAY podium for the second time in the row and also saw 5 XRAY in the top 6 with Filip Zaremba and Artur Groszkowski finishing 4th and 6th.

Nowy Targ is situated by the highest Tatry mountains, and thus gave great weather for the National Finals. Saturday's preliminary runs showed that Artur Groszkowski seemed to be the real "Mountain King" since he won all 3 races ever organised on this track, and looked to be in a position to do it for the 4th time. Just behind was junior Filip Zaremba - really showing growing form in off-road racing. In the top ten there were 5 XRAY cars, but only the best 4 qualified for the Sunday run without competing in quarter- or semi-finals.

The final run proved Artur's dominance on the Nowy Targ track - he won the race, but 2nd place taken by Arek gave him Polish Champion title:
